As we go through life, I have come to believe we need to do exactly what our ‘yeah, but’ voice says we should not! We need to embrace our opportunities and go for them! Take the plunge. Write the book. Call the new friend we just met. Bid the job which will be a stretch. Hire the person who gives a good vibe and has a great track record, despite the lack of direct experience in your field. Wear the tie the children bought you to the Board meeting. We need to keep the ‘yeah’ and kick the ‘but!’
Wonderful advice! The “yeah, but” voice can be automatic…so much that we don’t even know it’s there. Thank you for bringing it into the light!
